The need for a periodic cloud health check
As part of Redevco's quality system, the organization regularly performs assessments on its Azure cloud platform. This systematic process enables them to identify areas for improvement in terms of costs, availability, performance and security. Thanks to these cyclical evaluations, the platform continues to develop and improve. Using an external party like Blis helps them to get an objective view of their environment.
Looking for areas for improvement and risks
The assignment we received from Redevco was clear: identify where optimizations are possible and identify potential vulnerabilities. To answer this question, we followed a structured approach that consisted of four steps.
We started with an intake with Redevco's IT administrators. This session gave us insight into their specific needs, current configurations, and assessment expectations. By listening carefully to their challenges, we were able to focus our analysis specifically on the areas that were most relevant to them.
After this intake, we performed an extensive scan of the Azure environment. To do this, we used a tool that accurately maps all Azure resources. This gave us a complete overview of the infrastructure, configurations and settings. We collected the data and analyzed it carefully to identify patterns, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
Based on this in-depth analysis, we prepared an extensive concept report. This report contained concrete recommendations, risk identifications and areas for improvement, all specifically focused on Redevco's situation. We made sure that each recommendation was practically applicable and would offer clear added value.
The final step was an interactive workshop with Redevco's entire IT department. During this session, we presented our findings and discussed the recommendations in detail. This not only provided understanding, but also created support for the proposed changes.

Redevco's response to our assessment was extremely positive. They particularly appreciated the depth of our analysis and the practical applicability of our recommendations. Although many of the identified points were already known to them, our analysis also provided new insights that proved immediately valuable.

Nevertheless, with the improvements we propose, the organization is taking important steps in the further professionalization of their cloud infrastructure. This way, their Azure platform continues to perform optimally and is prepared for future challenges and opportunities.
