April 2023 Critical Patch Update released for PeopleSoft
Last week Oracle released the second Critical Patch Update (CPU) of this year. The Q2 security update brings another set of patches to PeopleSoft. This update lists multiple vulnerabilities within PeopleSoft versions used by our customers.
As always there are required security patches for the PeopleTools and middleware layers. The patched PeopleTools Deployment Packages (DPK) are available for installation in your environment. The easy-to-use PTINFRA DPK with the required patches for middleware components, like Java, WebLogic and Tuxedo, will be released soon. When required the individual patches for those middleware components can also be installed
separately based on their product patches that are already available from Oracle.
On the application layer there are not that many security issues identified this time. Only the Human Capital Management (HCM) pilar has one security patch available that needs to be applied through the PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM). The other pillars can go without security patching on the application layer this quarter.
Customers with a Managed Services contract from Blis Digital don’t need to worry about the application of this Critical Patch Update from Oracle. Applying the Critical Patch Update is simply part of our service.
