Based on our ISO 27001 certification and our secure software development practices, we keep ourselves sharp by regularly organizing internal awareness sessions about digital security. For the June session, we invited Daniël Verlaan as guest speaker. And we knew that!
When he arrived, it immediately became clear — Daniel is looking forward to it! An enthusiastic, down-to-earth guy, very accessible and very enthusiastic, took the floor. He took us into the world of ransomware, one of the most serious problems you can face as a company. Daniel was good at explaining to us how these types of attacks work, what exactly happens, how the criminals work and literally how the business model of these organizations works. Bizarre!
During the session, there was also a lot of room for questions and discussions about measures to prevent these types of attacks and to minimize their impact. All in all, a very interesting and exciting morning.
