We'll take you into:

Last year Elianne joined Albert-Jan and Richard, bringing us to three FastTrack Recognized Solution Architects for Power Platform. This year all three renewed the title. And when we looked at Microsoft's new list, something stood out: across the whole of the Netherlands, they are the only three.
In 2026 the Netherlands counts three Microsoft FastTrack Recognized Solution Architects (FTRSA) for Power Platform: Elianne Burgers, Albert-Jan Schot and Richard Wierenga. All three work at Blis Digital.

What is a FastTrack Recognized Solution Architect?

A FastTrack Recognized Solution Architect (FTRSA) is a title Microsoft awards to architects who look beyond the technology alone. You show that you can put the whole Power Platform to smart use, building solutions that hold up in practice. Scalable, secure and reliable, in line with the Power Platform Well-Architected Framework.

"You don't just build a Power App," explains Elianne Burgers, Team Lead Low Code & AI Solutions. "You look at the bigger picture." Albert-Jan Schot, CTO at Blis Digital and Microsoft MVP, adds that a Power Platform solution consists of much more than apps alone. As an architect, you look at how different technologies reinforce each other.

How do you become a FastTrack Recognized Solution Architect?

Getting nominated means going through a demanding process. You need enough years of experience, the right certifications, demonstrable contributions to the community and well-documented customer cases. Microsoft's Power Customer Advisory Team ultimately decides whether you earn the title.

How many FastTrack architects does the Netherlands have?

According to Microsoft's official list (as of July 2026), around 157 architects worldwide have earned the FastTrack Recognized Solution Architect title, spread across Dynamics 365 and Power Platform. Together those architects come from roughly 78 partner organisations.

For the Power Platform specialism in the Netherlands, exactly three architects are on the list. Elianne Burgers, Albert-Jan Schot and Richard Wierenga, all three at Blis Digital. You can find their profiles at aka.ms/FTRSA/Architects.

A number like that is the result of years of building complex customer solutions and keeping each other sharp.

Do you have to earn the title again every year?

Yes. The FastTrack title is valid for one year. After that you have to prove all over again that you are worth it.

"You have to show that your knowledge is current by submitting a recent case," says Richard Wierenga, Tech Lead Low Code Solutions. Microsoft's engineering team reviews new customer implementations and decides whether the recognition is renewed.

The fact that three people pass that test in the same year says something about how we work at Blis. There is a constant stream of new, real work underneath it.

Architecture is teamwork

The title is individual. The work behind it never is.

Every architecture review starts with engineers asking tough questions. Consultants challenging assumptions. Customers discussing a short- and long-term vision. And constantly reconsidering whether the chosen path is and remains the right one, now and in the future.

With three recognised architects in house, you challenge each other every day. Someone to pressure-test a design with before it reaches the customer. That makes the work of all three better. Elianne and Albert-Jan also wrote about it themselves, on burgersandbytes.nl and cloudappie.nl.

What's in it for you as a customer?

For our customers, the value comes down to a few concrete things.

You work with specialists who have proven they can design and build complex, multi-year solutions. If a project runs into a technical limit, Blis has a direct line to Microsoft and access to their product teams. And our architects are part of an international network of peers, with exclusive Microsoft sessions where the latest developments surface first.

"We were already doing well for our customers," says Elianne Burgers. "This recognition gives us extra ways to perform even better, especially on complex implementations where working with Microsoft adds value."

What's on the table now

Power Platform is changing fast and AI is now part of almost every solution we design. That is exactly where the work gets interesting. Architectures shift, best practices shift with them and customers expect more.

Three FastTrack architects give Blis the room to take on more ambitious projects and help customers further in their digital transformation. That is what we like doing most: unleashing the power of technology on every corner of a business.
